SB 2K11

Today was the first day of... my last Spring Break trip. That is, unless I go to grad school. Which is NOT in the foreseeable future!

My little clan is headed up to Isle of Palms, SC, right outside of Charleston! The history lover in me is coming out the closer we get and G Craig and I were thrilled to hear that there is a restaurant dedicated to Edgar Allen Poe! I think that the first city to secede from the North during the Civil War will have plenty of history and charm to fill me up for a while! :D

With much help from Mom and Dad, I am making plans to visit DC in a few weeks for job interviews! (Prayers in this direction would be much appreciated!) I can't wait to be back in the District and hopefully will get some good pictures to post of the cherry blossoms!

Mom, Dad, and I went to Montgomery a few weekends ago to help "Egg" and Josh move into a new house! It really was fun to help them pack up and move boxes... Somehow packing is a lot more fun when it's not your stuff to pack ha

Here's a pic from the Natchez Trace for the beginning of your spring season! Hope you get to spend some time outside during this beautiful week ahead!

Oh! Almost forgot-- just finished my personal website for Digital Comm! Check it out here!

And.... We're Back!

Sorry for the few-weeks hiatus! This spring has been wonderful and full of change... I have been so blessed to be able to help lead worship at RUF this year and God has used the hymns we sing there to speak truth into my life on a regular basis. This hymn is always an uplifting one and I hope you enjoy it!

Be Still, My Soul
1. Be still, my soul:  the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

2. Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future, as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.

3. Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart,
And all is darkened in the vale of tears,
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears.
Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay
From His own fullness all He takes away.

4. Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord.
When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past,
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

5. Be still, my soul: begin the song of praise
On earth, believing, to thy Lord on high;
Acknowledge Him in all thy works and ways,
So shall He view thee with a well-pleased eye.
Be still, my soul: the Sun of life divine
Through passing clouds shall but more brightly shine.
